Bag measures approximately 6 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/4 inches high and is self-lining.
The handle is done in a seed stitch pattern.
Materials Required:
1 100 gram skein Bernat Satin in Black (or worsted weight yarn in your choice of color)
288 multi-colored pony beads (package I purchased says 6 x 9 pony beads on label)
size 5mm needles (Imperial size 6; US size 8)
Before beginning to knit, string beads onto the yarn (I always string on extras…just in case) .
To insert a bead , place the yarn and needles in position to Purl, then slide the bead towards the right hand needle and proceed with the purl stitch. On the following purl row, you may find the beads want to migrate to the other side of the work. You can gently guide them back with your thumb as you knit but after a few rows are worked they will find their places and sit nicely between the stitches.

It helps to slide a few beads and hold them with the yarn in your hand so they are ready to position and knit in. It may feel a bit awkward at first but after a few rows you will quickly develop a rhythm to the knitting.
Here is an interesting article for more information and tips on how to do beaded knitting:
